How It All Started

Platchem (PTY) Ltd is a speciality chemical manufacturing business that was started in 1989. From its inception, the business aimed to cater to customers’ specific needs in different industries.

We offer a customised service, whereby products are developed according to the customer’s specifications.

We are a SABS-approved manufacturer. We have numerous SABS-marked products and are a registered disinfectant manufacturer with “NRCS”.

Our aim is to cater to the specific needs of our customers in different industries.

Solutions We Offer

Mining Industry

We have been establishing contracts with major mining companies in South Africa since 1989 and have been supplying a wide range of companies throughout Africa. Our product offerings encompass an extensive variety, such as degreasers, disinfectants, laundry products, hand cleaners, and numerous others.

Laundry & Dry Cleaning

There is a large number of products which we manufacture for the laundry and dry cleaning industry.

These include washing powders, liquid detergents, spotters, stain removers and whiteners. 

Contract Cleaning

We supply a wide range of products and hardware to the contract cleaning industry.

Industrial Cleaning

We manufacture various products used on industrial sites.

These are namely, degreasers (solvent and water based), hand cleaners, electrical cleaners and general cleaners.

Food & Beverage

Along with the range of products sold in the food and beverage industry.

The food and beverage products carry the SABS 1828 and 1853 marks.

Toll Manufacturing

We manufacture products to customer requirements.

Motor Industry

We have a range of Car, Truck and Valet products available.

Kleer 4007

We are the manufacturer of the KLEER 4007 Multipurpose Cleaner.
